This happened when the 43-year-old fan-favorite star was busy promoting his upcoming presumed masterpiece in the action/comedy genre, The Fall Guy. And unbelievably enough, not only did Gosling talk about one of Swift’s song’s inclusion in the film, but he also openly confessed his love for the 34-year-old beloved singer-songwriter and her truly magnificent pieces of work.

Ryan Gosling Has a ‘Taylor Swift Moment’ in The Fall Guy

Although, yes, The Fall Guy, which will soon be hitting the theatres, is truly a movie majorly based on action and comedy, it also includes a few tear-jerking and absolutely heartbreaking scenes — especially for Ryan Gosling‘s character, Colt Seavers.

One of these scenes includes the Barbie actor singing and crying along to Taylor Swift‘s iconic breakup song, All Too Well. (Yes, the same one whose different iteration Gosling performed when he recently hosted SNL with Emily Blunt to promote his movie.)

During a recent interview with Collider, while talking about this highly-anticipated upcoming movie of his’ with Blunt, the 43-year-old actor was asked to address this exact severe scene. To this, he said:

“Who hasn’t had a good car cry to Taylor Swift, right?”

Okay, Gosling do be spilling facts. But what’s more, is that The Notebook star also shared how this particularly tender moment was “actually just me.” As he shared in an interview with ET:

“That was actually just me,” Gosling admitted. “I didn’t know they were filming.”

Needless to say, now that feels like some true love for Swift. Sounds like Gosling has just added a whole bunch of Swifties to his fanbase too in this process of singing the fan-favorite singer’s one-of-a-kind breakup song!

Ryan Gosling Actually Took This Emotional Scene Too Far

While crying to a song from Swift is one thing, the La La Land actor actually took it to a whole another level. How? Well, he went a bit “too far” with his emotions, as he himself acknowledged later on during his interview with Collider.

This happened when Emily Blunt pointed out how she “wasn’t sure to what lengths you’d go with your car cry, so when the window went down, I was like, ‘Wow.’” To this, Gosling jokingly admitted:

“I went too far.”

Emily Blunt revealed Gosling was "very emotional" while singing to Swift's song.

In fact, he was so very emotional that Blunt even claimed his face turned “so wet” in that scene! Not only that, but the creators even “cut to [Gosling] post-cry because they didn’t want to include the actual cut because it wasn’t pretty.”

Pretty or not pretty, Gosling has just proven to his fans worldwide that he is, as it turns out, one of the biggest Swifties on this planet, considering how he quite literally had a total breakdown moment to her epic breakup song while shooting!

The Fall Guy is set to hit the theatres on May 3, 2024.
