Spider-Man 3 (or Homecoming 3, if you will…) is currently under production, and everyone’s extremely excited about it. The film packs a massive roster as the other two Spider-Men besides Tom Holland are set to reprise their roles in the film. And, we’re going to get many other multiverse characters besides them. As filming goes on, we’ve got a few new set photos that tease the return of the Iron Spider suit. Here, check out those set photos:

What we see here is Tom Holland’s stunt double wearing a motion capture suit. Tom Holland wore a motion capture suit while filming Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. It served as the basis for the Iron Spider suit, which was completely created through CGI. Peter still had his Iron Spider suit in Spider-Man: Far From Home. So, it’s safe to assume that the Iron Spider suit will return in Homecoming 3 since we are also getting the black-red Spider-Man suit that Peter designed in his last outing.

There’s also a possibility of a new suit. When Peter created his suit in the Stark jet, Tony Stark had installed several other suit designs. Yes, the jet was obviously destroyed, but those designs still exist. The purpose of having new suits in a film is to sell more merchandise. So, keeping that in mind, this stunt double could be posing for a totally new suit. But we’ll have to wait and see about that. For now, take a look at two other set photos, which reveal a strange plot detail of Homecoming 3:

Here the stunt double is strapped to a harness in front of a poster where Spider-Man in his original Civil War / Homecoming suit. The poster advertises free photos and autographs from the Wall Crawler. Now this poster wouldn’t have felt so strange because Spidey was a popular Avenger. But, in the final moments of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Mysterio revealed his secret identity to the whole world. Thanks to Morbius, we know that the world thinks of Spider-Man as a murderer. Considering the fact that Homecoming 3 takes place about 5-6 months after Far From Home, this poster should have been removed by now. Unless this is a scene that takes place Spider-Man proves his innocence. That’s certainly one possibility.

But there could be a second possibility here. We know that WandaVision will tie into Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange 2. Strange is also supposed to help Spider-Man with his crisis in the film. So, some kind of reality-warping, or a multiverse twist could be in play over here. In the comics, Doctor Strange helped Peter during his identity crisis. But ultimately, Peter made a deal with the Devil. it was Mephisto who made the world forget about Spider-Man’s secret identity after it was outed during Civil War. So, maybe Doctor Strange and even Scarlet Witch could come to Peter’s aid by getting him that deal with the devil. This Mephisto appearance could be Spider-Man 3‘s connection with WandaVision. And suddenly, the world would think of Spider-Man as a good guy once again.

I guess we’ll find out for sure when Homecoming 3 hits theatres on December 17.
