The official release window of Star Wars Outlaws was slated for 2024. But ever since the beginning of the year, fans have been hankering for more updates on the game. By the looks of it, they got their wish as Ubisoft announced the Stroy Trailer.

As usual, fans flocked to community forums to share their thoughts and debate ideas. One fan questioned the entire point of an announcement of a story trailer saying, “So we really need an announcement for a trailer?“. While this fan isn’t essentially wrong in questioning the need for such, most fans could not care less.

For them, the important part is they got an update on the long-awaited Star Wars Outlaws. Fans who have previously played Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, had especially high hopes from the game. They threw their weight behind the game with comments like, “People were saying that this game look too good to be true but after playing avatar I just know this game is gonna look fantastic” making rounds on the community forums.

Massive Entertainment has received mixed reviews from Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora but the open-world and the immersive experience of the game was hailed by players. Their adaptation of the world of Pandora from the movies was also praised highly.

This has led fans to believe that they would do a similar, if not better job, for Star Wars. The latest gameplay reveal has also helped fan expectations soar.

What To Expect From Star Wars Outlaws

The game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The official website of the game describes the game as an immersive open-world game where players will have to fight, steal, and outwit their way across the galaxy’s crime syndicates as Kay Vess.

She won’t be alone though as her axolotl-esque companion, Nix, is going to be by her side. The game is also set to break a 40-year-old tradition in the Star Wars franchise.

With the clock ticking down to 9th April, fans are surely anticipating a huge reveal on Ubisoft’s part. The game is already showing promise to be a saving grace, unlike Skull and Bones.
