Rocksteady has one of the greatest DC trilogies of all time, with the Batman: Arkham saga. With this in mind, the studio could not do wrong, but WB announced Suicide Squad, and the result was not what fans expected. The title is a looter-shooter experience that puts the story mode behind a wall of generic content.
Kill the Justice League will still launch the planned content, and the first new playable character will be the Joker in an Elseworld scenario in the game.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Has Some Very Alarming Numbers
After the incredible failure of Marvel’s Avengers as living proof that having popular characters is not a certainty of success, DC and WB Games followed the same path, and it got the same result.
Rocksteady, even with all the reputation that it has thanks to the Batman: Arkham saga, has not sold well with this new game, and players do not seem to be satisfied with what they have received. But the studio still has much new content planned.
With a complete roadmap ahead, Suicide Squad has not given up yet and hopes to make more players get the game. WB Games has just announced the beginning of the first season of the game with the release of the first new playable character, the Joker.
This is the first of several new characters that will be added to the game. DC Comics has a vast pedigree of heroes and villains to choose from, and within the story of the game, they will be coming from an Elseworld universe, like Injustice.
Will Someone Still Play Kill the Justice League?
This first season of Suicide Squad will begin on March 28 with the arrival of the Joker. Later, new boss variant battles will be added, as will the possibility of Elseworld scenarios. Three more characters besides the Joker will be introduced later, and rumors are saying that one of these new members will be Killer Croc.
Perhaps even with the backlash and very few active players, with time, WB Games and Rocksteady could change the situation of Kill the Justice League, but the signs are not very good, and with the background of the Avengers game, this could end very badly.
