Ariana DeBose is creating a lot of excitement for her role as Calypso in Sony’s upcoming film Kraven the Hunter, set in the Spider-Man Universe following the Venom films and Morbius. Anticipation is high for the movie, being the first proper live-action portrayal of the iconic Spider-Man villain.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, when asked about the resemblance of her Calypso to the comic version, DeBose cryptically stated that fans should expect the unexpected from the film. This intriguing statement has led to speculation, suggesting a potential cameo from Venom in Kraven the Hunter, especially considering Morbius mentions Venom in his film. DeBose’s comment, “I think you should expect the unexpected,” hinted at Vemom somehow appearing in the movie.

It is to be noted that Venom made an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home as well, which is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Therefore, a Venom cameo in the upcoming Kraven the Hunter film would not be a surprise, should it happen. Sony’s Kraven the Hunter is slated to open in theaters on August 30, 2024, so we’ll have to see how the film will turn out.
