Sydney Sweeney is inevitably one of the biggest currently raging hotshots in Hollywood. A massive sweetheart ruling the hearts of fans worldwide, the 26-year-old beauty is already nailing it as an actress and is already in a position that many other actors her age could only dream of. Yet, among all the people singing praises for her, one Hollywood veteran still doesn’t consider her good enough.
This veteran is none other than the renowned producer Carol Baum, who seems to hold a lot of criticism for Sweeney and her projects that everyone else seems to love. But Sweeney isn’t one to just sit back and face the harsh criticism she doesn’t deserve either, for her reps have released a statement that perfectly coincides with fans’ opinion on the matter.
Sydney Sweeney had the Perfect Response to Carol Baum’s Criticism
Veteran producer Carol Baum, who has produced some of the finest works like Father of the Bride and is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, seemed to totally lash out at Hollywood’s very own favorite young talent Sydney Sweeney at the Jacob Burns Center in Pleasantville, New York, last week.
According to reports from Daily Mail, Baum reportedly said:
“There’s an actress who everybody loves now – Sydney Sweeney. I don’t get [her].”
Baum then went on to share how she decided to watch Sweeney’s Anyone But You while on her plane because “I wanted to know who she is and why everybody’s talking about her.” But after watching the movie, the producer’s reaction was simply that it was “unwatchable.”
If that wasn’t enough, she even said, talking about Sweeney:
“I said to my class, ‘Explain this girl to me. She’s not pretty, she can’t act. Why is she so hot?’ Nobody had an answer.”
But as harsh as her words were, the Madame Web actress’ representatives had a better response. Firing her criticism right back at her, Sweeney’s rep told the New York Post:
“How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman. If that’s what she’s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that’s shameful.”
Adding to this statement was one last but not the least blow as they said: “To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms Baum’s character.” Now, that must hurt. Truly. But that’s not all, for what’s more is that even fans are letting all hell break loose while reacting to Baum’s comment on Sweeney!

Ever since news surfaced that Carol Baum has openly shared her scathing criticism for the younger Hollywood talent that almost everyone else is in love with, fans haven’t been holding back with their criticism of Baum either.
