David Corenswet is the newest celebrity to enter the folds of the DCU with his take on the classic character of Superman in James Gunn’s upcoming film. With the actor being obsessed with the Star Wars franchise, Corenswet obviously revealed which superpowers he dreamt of as a child.
Not surprisingly, the actor talked about how he thought that he had mastered the Force and that he could move objects with his hand. Sitting in a hilarious interview, Corenswet’s next super-power was quite weird but it is, after all, connected to the Star Wars franchise.
David Corenswet Has A Hilarious Answer For His Superpowers
Being obsessed with the Star Wars franchise ever since he was young, the young Padawan has often talked about his love for the space opera franchise. With Corenswet joining James Gunn’s upcoming film Superman: Legacy (which was recently renamed to Superman), the star has been making headlines with his interviews.
In a recent conversation (that was shared on X), David Corenswet talked about his childhood superpowers. Mastering the Force from the Star Wars franchise, Corenswet revealed how he would try to move objects with his powers and that he had half-convinced himself that it actually moved.
“The Force! There were atleast three or four times when I was growing up where I would sit quietly and then just slowly open my eyes and go… [puts his hands as if controlling the force]”
He further continued,
“And probably one of those times I half convinced myself that like it shook a little bit or something.”
As the interview further continued, David Corenswet continued to talk about his dream for his next superpower which is also a bit weird in nature but also… quite achievable!
David Corenswet Wants To Listen To John Williams’ Music
With Corenswet obsessing and reminiscing about Star Wars, the actor revealed that he would also like to have one more superpower to his name. With this power being a little weird, Corenswet revealed that he would love to hear John William’s music wherever he went.
“The other superpower I would have would be to have John Williams’ music play wherever I went. Definitely”
For those unversed, John Williams was one of the earliest composers who worked on the Star Wars franchise. Well, we are no superhero creators but we think that an audio system can do that for you. All jokes aside, the world is indeed keen on David Corenswet’s performance as the upcoming Superman and the successor to Henry Cavill. James Gunn and Corenswet’s Superman is set for a release date of 11 July 2025 in theaters across the world.
