With the release of Episode 23, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 draws to an end following months of incredible battles, shocking story turns, and heartbreaking deaths. The Shibuya Incident arc came to an end in the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 finale, which aired on December 28, 2023, and also officially launched the Culling Games arc.
Chapters 136–137 were adapted for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 23, and three pages from chapter 138 were included to wrap up the series. The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen may have ended, but the anime is far from finished. Season three is currently in development, as per MAPPA Studios’ announcement. The bigger story, though, is that Yuta Okkotsu finally makes an appearance in the story by returning to Japan in the finale episode.

Fans have gone berserk looking at the return of one of the most loved characters of the series who has been absent from the series since Jujutsu Kaisen 0. His entrance in the series has done justice to his character and fans can’t wait to see him in the next season.
Yuta Okkotsu Returns to Jujutsu Kaisen
The episode focused on the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident, which turned the neighborhood into a swamp infested with spirits of the dead that Kenjaku set free. In the middle of episode 23 of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, while the government officials are debating how to handle the situation, the attention moves to a young girl who is being tricked by a Cursed Spirit into falling into a trap. But just in time, Yuta Okkotsu appears spectacularly and saves the girl.

It is revealed that Yuta has managed to get back both Rika and his Special Grade standing. After that, Yuta talks with the leaders of the Jujutsu Society and shows no concern about Yuji being Gojo’s student. Because Yuji severed Inumaki’s arm, Yuta declares his intention to kill Yuji personally.
Jujutsu Kaisen anime fans were shocked to hear about Yuta’s declaration, but at the same time, his entrance brought energy and enthusiasm amongst fans who were sad about the deaths during the Shibuya Incident arc.
Fans Cheer Yuta Okkotsu’s Entry in Jujutsu Kaisen
As the fans saw Yuta Okkotsu finally making an appearance in the series, they jumped on X(Twitter) to share their excitement for the return of the character. Yuta’s entry into the series has been demanded by the fans for a long time.
