A popular X insider was asked about the state of Sony’s future IPs; he mentioned that titles like Horizon 3 are far from being revealed, but he also talked about how The Last of Us Part 3 is not the main priority of Naughty Dog. The studio is working on a completely new IP.
Fans Will Have to Wait a Long Time to See The Last of Us Part 3 in Action
Sony fans are going through a spectacular run of incredible AAA games, one better than the other. Owners of the PlayStation 5 could be completely calm, knowing that there will always be a good game coming. Astounding reviews have already greeted the launch of titles like God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Horizon Forbidden West. But some fans are waiting for the next project of a particular studio, Naughty Dog, creators of The Last of Us and Uncharted.
Silknigth, a popular X insider, responded to questions about future Sony projects in development. He replied, talking about titles like Horizon 3, but referring especially to The Last of Us Part 3, with the following: “Horizon 3 will take a bit longer to be revealed, and TLOU3 is not Naughty Dog’s active project. Naughty Dog’s game is a new IP.” Fans really want a new chapter in the adventures of Ellie after her journey comes to a strange and sad conclusion.
Aside from discussing how Naughty Dog is not prioritizing TLoU P3, this insider clarified that the studio is not focusing all of its resources on this game, but a part of the team is actively working on it, and the rest of the studio is making the new IP.
Horizon 3 will take a bit longer to be revealed, and TLOU3 is not Naughty Dog's active project.

Sony fans have to wait for another major exclusive, like Marvel’s Wolverine, or even a completely new IP. There are rumors about a sequel to a certain samurai’s recent game.
What Will Be the Next Major Sony Exclusive in 2025?
The PlayStation 5 is totally sweeping away any competition regarding console sales; the Sony platform has been first since its release. With more than double the number of consoles sold compared to Xbox, the Sony platform keeps making players all around the world very happy.
Ghost of Tsushima 2 is one of the possibilities that fans have for next year, but Sony has not confirmed any release date for the upcoming months. Rumors suggest that Sony will unveil new games around June, either at the Summer Game Fest or at an exclusive event such as a new PlayStation Showcase.
