Hidetaka Miyazaki Tells About His Experience Of Working With George RR Martin While Creating Elden Ring

There is no doubt that Elden Ring as a video game title would not have been successful without the combined efforts of Hidetaka Miyazaki and George RR Martin. And despite how well the output has come out, the former has revealed how there was one single obstacle that came up during their team-up.

There was a little bit of a generation gap between us, but after a lot of these conversations, it was just like speaking with an old friend. And it was so fresh to have those conversations with someone who was so passionate about the same things, and to show that pure joy and sense of curiosity for these fantasy worlds.

Miyazaki essentially disclosed how he was able to quickly move on from the fact that there was a generation gap between the two, and soon felt talking to Martin was like talking with someone he already knew. Both of them share a love and passion for similar things, including fantasy worlds, which explains the well-written story of the game.

Will George RR Martin Return Once Again For The Upcoming Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC?

For those who might not know, Martin is famous for writing the popular Game of Thrones books, which explains why the studio might have opted for him to create a mythical backstory for the game.

Nonetheless, while it remains unlikely that he will especially come back to create another story for the coming DLC, Miyazaki revealed in an interview earlier how a lot of content had been cut from the main game to be featured in future extensions. This basically means that elements from Martin’s writings are doomed to show up in Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, as he has played a huge role in curating the story of the main game.
