It has been many years since Naruto ended, but fans are still not willing to move on from the past. Being an anime fan means creating many theories about your favorite characters, and one new theory has started to gain momentum among the Naruto community, which is based around Kakashi Hatake.
Kakashi, also known as the copy ninja, was one of the most prominent characters in the Naruto series; however, he faded away in the Boruto franchise. However, according to one popular theory, Kakashi Hatake could be getting his Sharingan back, making him reach the peak of his powers once again.
There is still a way for Kakashi to get his Sharingan back in Boruto
Crafting theories for your favorite characters is one of the best things you can do as an anime fan, and with Naruto being one of the biggest franchises in the world, it’s no surprise that there are many different theories.
In the pool of many theories, a certain theory involving Kakashi Hatake has begun to trend, and it could see him reach the zenith of his powers and maybe even surpass his war arc form, which is deemed the pinnacle of the copy ninja.
As per Naruto/Boruto YouTuber @NCHammer23, Kakashi would be able to rejuvenate his lost power by obtaining a pair of Sharingan from Obito’s laboratory, run by Sasuke now. You might have missed this little detail, but in Naruto Shippuden episode 220, we were shown Obito’s lab.
There were numerous pairs of Sharingan available, which were most likely accumulated by him during the Uchiha massacre. If the copy ninja decides to implant one of the Sharingans, he will become powerful once again.
Unfortunately, due to the plot of Boruto, which prioritizes the new Gen character, it is doubtful that this idea would be explored further since a new power for Kakashi would see him steal the limelight once again.
It looks like Masashi Kishimoto won’t be following this lead, as we have already seen Sasuke lose his Rinnegan but still opt to not use one of the Sharingan’s he has available at his disposal.
Importance of Kakashi Hatake in the Naruto and Boruto Franchise
Kakashi Hatake is one of the most essential characters in Masashi Kishimoto’s magnum opus, Naruto, and plays a very climactic role in Naruto’s development. He always provided valuable guidance to his students and protected them from adversaries.
Trained under the 4th Hokage, Kakashi has always held his ground against enemies, and many of them are way stronger than him. He trained Naruto and always had his back whenever someone tried to put him down.
His lineage is still unknown, and a major clue has not been revealed yet about his ancestors. A fan theory on Quora suggests a connection between the Kakashi lineage and Kiba Inuzaka’s clan.
However, as things stand, all of this is a theory, and it will be interesting to see what happens going forward.
