If you’re a fan of comic books and superheroes in general, you may already know how power creeping works in the most basic sense, and Marvel Comics is not alien to that phenomenon. Time and time again, we have seen members of The Avengers and The X-Men facing impossible odds in the form of supervillains who can very well be regarded as gods by mortals.

But apart from the Mad Titan Thanos with the infinity stones in his possession as seen in the MCU, the villains and heroes from Marvel Comics will make him look like a pale hamster in comparison.

Thankfully, the X-Men have their own version of a god named Miranda, who has the implausible and mind-numbing ability to do anything with the fabric of the Marvel Comics universe, which will make The One Above All look like a toddler.

While superheroes from the pages of Marvel Comics usually are pretty powerful in their own right, the truly mind-bending and seemingly impossible powers are reserved for the supervillains of the narrative for these heroes to challenge and overcome.

And in that long list of adversaries, The One Above All truly justifies his name as the apex lifeform embodying omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience in the multiverse. And still, one member of the X-Men makes them look like a small fry.

In a story arc titled X-Men: Worst X-Man Ever #3, we are introduced to a young girl named Miranda, who upon entering Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters was assessed by Beast to give her power a level on The Power Grid.

Here, it’s revealed that she was so powerful that she broke the scale and couldn’t be gauged, which is why she was given the first and only Omicron-level status in Marvel Comics.

Her powers and abilities are that of the creator of comic arcs, which means she can do anything and everything a creator at Marvel Comics can. She is a meta-defying character who has the ability to create anything and anyone with a history in the narrative from nothing and even erase them out of existence without leaving even a speck of their presence known to anyone but her.

She’s quite literally a god in every sense of the word as she can create and dismantle entire realities in and out of existence with the mere thought of it along with rewriting the past, present, and future of those realities as she sees fit. This isn’t something even The One Above All is capable of.

WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD

While we can say with some certainty that Miranda won’t be the mutant that we will be seeing in the MCU anytime soon, the introduction of The X-Men has already begun in the franchise.

In the post-credit scenes of The Marvels, we get a glimpse of Hank McCoy, popularly known as Beast, who is one of the most crucial members of The X-Men in the comics. Thus, with such an important character being brought into the main timeline of the franchise along with the recent release of Marvel Studios’ animated series X-Men ’97, we can be sure the age of mutants isn’t too far in the future.
