What’s more, is that this revelation comes after all the allegations the renowned Borat alum faced recently at the words of his co-star, Rebel Wilson.

Baron Cohen and Fisher, who had been widely hailed as two of the most perfectly shipped couples in Hollywood, are ending their relationship after being together for almost twenty years. This comes after both actors took to their respective Instagram handles (@sachabaroncohen and @islafisher) to break the news about them splitting up.
As can be seen in their stories, the two are seemingly “putting our racquets down” after “a long tennis match lasting over twenty years.” For two who had been together for almost two decades and happily married for fourteen whole years, Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher “jointly filed to end our marriage” in 2023, according to the note.
The note further reads,
“We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
While this has come as a devastating surprise to many, US Weekly reports that, according to an insider close to the estranged couple,
“They have been living separate lives since last year but wanted to give this space and time for their children to be OK with this before the news came out and they got all this attention.”
Moreover, what’s worth noting is that this news comes shortly after Baron Cohen faced the harsh allegations from his The Brothers Grimsby co-star Rebel Wilson in her newly released memoir, Rebel Rising.
Rebel Wilson’s Allegations Have Heaved a Barrel of Controversies on Sacha Baron Cohen
Recently, the Pitch Perfect actor’s memoir Rebel Rising hit the stands, and with it came a barrel of controversies for her The Brothers Grimsby co-star Baron Cohen. After indirectly referring to him as an ‘a–hole’ in a clip she shared on her Instagram handle @rebelwilson, she has further alleged him of misconduct while shooting their first and only film together.
These allegations listed in her memoir (as per PEOPLE) included Baron Cohen reportedly asking her to commit lewd acts on him while shooting for the R-rated raunchy comedy disaster, which she ended up “finally compromising” with despite having a “no n-dity” policy. These situations even led to her relaying to the producers, “I would not be doing any promotion for the film.”
On the other hand, Sacha Baron Cohen‘s reps have strictly denied all such allegations in a statement that claimed (via PEOPLE):
“These demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”
For now, this entire mess is raging all over Hollywood, even after the renowned Borat actor’s reps provided anonymous statements that support the comedian’s innocence in this matter. Nonetheless, it also seems to have inevitably affected Baron Cohen’s relationship with his wife Fisher, and has further left fans truly heartbroken for this estranged power couple.
