The Prime Video Fallout TV show has just dropped a new trailer, and fans are very excited to see this new series based on a popular videogame franchise. Todd Howard, head of Bethesda, has praised the series as a very incredible adaptation of the Fallout universe.
In the new trailer, one of the main protagonists, Ghoul, is played by a spectacular Walton Goggins, which is key to the majority of the plot in the season. The Fallout TV show will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in April.
The Prime Video Fallout TV Show Could be a Home Run for Videogame Adaptations
As always in any story within the Fallout Universe, all begins in a new vault that is open after all the nuclear bombs and the radiation is mostly over. This Fallout TV show will be the same, but with Vault-Tec’s Vault 33, where the protagonist of the show will begin her journey.
Ella Purnell, who is interpreting Lucy, will be the character who wants to get out of the vault and see the outside world. But in the trailer, the principal character seems to be Ghoul, the villain that Walton Goggin is interpreting.
Ghouls in the game are humans that were mutated by radiation after the nuclear war. In this case, Ghoul will be the main character of the plot, which will serve as a vehicle to show what went wrong in the past and why he is like this in the present. With this character still in the show, there will be an interesting approach to the Fallout story.
Goggins’ character will be essential to the plot and will also show some details about how he came to be a Ghoul, and even some fans will appreciate the references to the game.
The Trailer for the Fallout TV Show is Full of References to the Games
Fallout games have more than five entries between the spin-off and main games. At first, it was a point-and-click experience, but after Fallout 3, the franchise gave the jump to first- and third-person shooters. The main features of this are the incredible history told by all the NPCs that you encounter in the wasteland.
The Prime Video Fallout TV show will be available on April 11. The main cast features Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Aaron Clifton Moten, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Michael Emerson, and many more. The series will have full immersion in the Fallout universe.
