UFC champion and professional boxer Conor McGregor just made his acting debut alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in the 2024 remake of Road House. Although an exceptional fighter, McGregor has far been receiving mixed reviews from fans and critics.
Yet one thing about his portrayal really stood out among the audience, his nakedness during the initial one minute of his character’s introduction. While McGregor himself accepted it was a bit too much nudity, MMA fans are certainly shocked, to say the least.
Conor McGregor States Badass Scene from Road House Was a Bit Too Much
Conor McGregor‘s acting debut via the Road House remake has been receiving mixed reviews. While some fans and critics think his acting is just him playing himself on-screen (see Reddit), others feel he came close to stealing the spotlight from the lead Jake Gyllenhaal on more than one occasion (via The Guardian).
As the debate regarding his acting prowess continues, everyone can agree that his introductory scene in the movie turned out a bit too NSFW for its own good. Starring as Knox, a henchman, fans and critics were needless to say, surprised by his NSFW scene. Vulture even described his casting as a naked attempt to capitalize on MMA fandom.
Meanwhile, the MMA champion McGregor described that one scene as a bit too much while speaking at a Q&A (via MMA Fighting).
“It was a little too much a**. Just a little too much. The last shot was not necessary. Could have just been the back. The back was solid. I’m just here to perform.”
Also revealing that he was inspired by his good friend Arnold Schwarzenegger’s nude scene in The Terminator, Conor McGregor stated he still has a lot to give and show when it comes to acting.
MMA Fans Are Shocked After Seeing Conor McGregor’s NSFW Scene
Conor McGregor recently appeared on the Good Morning Britain show, where he revealed how embarrassed he was to think that his mother would be watching his too-long NSFW scene in Road House. While his mother did not get shocked, many MMA fans were certainly taken aback to see his bare back for over a minute.

While some fans were surprised and perhaps even shocked by Conor McGregor’s NSFW scene, others felt that it was a bold move that showcased his confidence and fearlessness. Regardless of the reviews he has been receiving, MMA fans hope to see more of the martial artist on screen sometime soon in the future.
