On his scoop page, The InSneider, Sneider shared that Herron was reportedly hired to direct at least one episode of the show. Herron previously directed all six episodes of Disney+’s Loki Season 1 and four episodes of Netflix’s Sex Education Season 1. With these reputed series under her belt, Herron has managed to impress the fans to the extent that they celebrated her addition to this series.

Many others were eager to know which episode she was going to direct, expressing excitement that it would be a peak episode. One fan even wanted Herron to direct all the episodes of Season 2. Herron’s transition from short films to small screen projects began with Idris Elba’s five-episode drama, Five By Five. It is expected that series creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann will entrust her with one of the crucial episodes of Season 2. However, the challenge is not going to be easy for Herron.
What Is Pedro Pascal’s The Last of Us Season 2 About?
The Last of Us Season 2 will be based on the sequel game series, The Last of Us Part II. It will follow the lives of Bella Ramsey’s Ellie, five years after the events of Season 1, and Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby, a soldier. The second season, if it remains a loyal adaptation of the game, would be more brutal and divisive than the first season.
The sequel game, created and directed by Neil Druckmann, did not receive unanimous praise like the first game. Several narrative arcs did not sit well with a section of the fans, who expressed their discontent within the gaming community. Therefore, executing the second season of the HBO adaptation becomes a challenging task.
