Jennifer Flavin and Sylvester Stallone have known and liked each other for almost four decades, but things haven’t always been merry-go-lucky for them. Much before the unfulfilled divorce the former model filed from her husband in 2022, the pair faced a breakup period back in the early 1990s.
This was because of The Expendables star breaking up with his then-girlfriend through a six-page letter for a reason that was later revealed to Flavin through her agent (as per People): Stallone was having an affair with model-photographer, Janice Dickinson.
Further adding fuel to this fire were reports that Dickinson’s newborn daughter was reportedly the heiress of Stallone. While these reports about the baby later turned out to be false, the damage was still done, and Flavin was inevitably left broken with what “hit me like a ton of bricks.”
However, soon after these reports in 1994, this very pair was reportedly married in May 1997, and have been together ever since. This brought about a lot of speculation about how the former model could forgive the Rambo star despite the infidelity he displayed toward her.
Well, years later after that unfortunate incident, Jennifer Flavin has seemingly revealed the real reason behind how the pair have managed to continue their journey together for such a long time and counting despite the discrepancies that appeared between them.
This happened when the pair recently appeared on their daughters’ Sistine and Sophia Stallone‘s UNWAXED Podcast, where she explained the very thing that has kept them together for so long, saying:
“I think we just don’t take it too seriously. […] We understand each other.”
Adding to this was the $400 million rich actor himself, who conceded that Flavin, indeed, does not let many things get to her. Flavin then further proved her point as she said: “Love, to me, is very, very deep, and I don’t … love that many people, [so] when I fell in love with him, it was, like, forever.”
All of this is the reason why Jennifer Flavin is actually a big believer when it comes to granting forgiveness, especially if the love of her life Sylvester Stallone is the one at the receiving end.
Jennifer Flavin Doesn’t Take Sylvester Stallone’s Actions Too Seriously
Continuing in the podcast, Jennifer Flavin then further proved the part that she doesn’t take her husband Sylvester Stallone’s actions too seriously by sharing all the instances from when they were still in their youth, and Stallone would go to extremes to pranking her.
This includes situations like the time the Tulsa King actor locked Flavin out on the balcony in just her lingerie while it was brutally snowing outside. Or the time when he got her an oversized wig that just slipped to the side every time Flavin turned her head while roaming the streets with Stallone.
But despite all of these brutal pranks from her soulmate, the former model has managed to put up with his antics and not take them too seriously to cause cracks seeping into their relationship.
