James Gunn is a tough nut to crack, his actions are completely unpredictable and his fans and followers are sometimes quite raved by it. Just after he was appointed as the co-CEO of DCU, he removed the top fan-favorite actors from the franchise, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot. They were the ones who carried the franchise when it was dying and they get ousted for it, and for the simple fact that they will not fit in the new DCU that Gunn was making. Hollywood’s one of the most famous actors, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson also could not stand up to him and was also removed from the franchise after his Black Adam.
When media personalities and famed celebrities are dragged down by the media due to their harmful deeds, it is fair to say that their career might just be over. So when Ezra Miller was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment which was enough for Miller’s Hollywood career to collapse, they were not ousted from the franchise. Instead, James Gunn decided to keep them in the DCU and even promote their upcoming movie, The Flash, and fans were quite enraged about it.
James Gunn Decides To Keep Ezra Miller Around
James Gunn has been around the industry for quite a long time and is very well-versed with how the fans would react to certain things, despite knowing this he fired the fan-favorite Henry Cavill from his Superman role and is even searching for a new one according to his official report. Gunn faced some backlash during that time and though it simmered down for quite some time, it will always hang over his head in case any future Superman movie flops because of poor acting or scriptwriting.
It hasn’t been that long since DCU flipped a new page for the betterment of the franchise, with new actors, cast, plot, superheroes, and supervillains but it looks like Gunn forgot that he was rebooting the franchise from the ground up. Not only did he keep Ezra Miller around, but The Flash movie was also filmed and is ready for its premiere. Miller is surrounded by allegations of disorderly conduct, harassment, and assault as they were seen choking a woman in a public bar. Though they apologized multiple times, seeking out treatment for “complex mental health issues”, the fans have been not forgiving.
During an interview, when James Gunn was asked if there were any plans for Ezra Miller in the DC Universe, he replied,
“We are just gonna have to wait and see, you know, I mean, we’ll see how things go”
The Flash has recently dropped its second trailer and fans are somewhat going crazy over it as it is expected to be the movie that opens up a path for DCU to shine again.
The Flash Will Open up a Path for DCU To Shine
DCU has been in a dump for quite some time now and its repeated box office failures have been a matter of concern for both the franchise and its fans and followers. In recent times, DC Studios has produced and released two movies and both of them have been deemed as complete failures, in both reviews and box office collections.
So, after Black Adam and Shazam 2 flopped, it was time for The Flash, but according to various reports made by the select group of people who got to watch the movie, The Flash turned out to be a very good movie and will be the one to rejuvenate the dying franchise. Social media is on a high roll about the movie and fans are highly excited for the movie.

If The Flash really gets off on the high end, it will officially be the first movie that achieves success after the DC reboot that James Gunn brought upon. Though the movie will always be shadowed by Ezra Miller’s misdeeds, there are always those who will have hatred towards them and the franchise.
