Now, many are wondering if Hellraiser will ever get a sequel and the film’s producer, Keith Levine, had a pretty optimistic opinion on it. It’s a matter of days before Keith Levine’s latest project, The First Omen, makes its way to the theatres and the producer recently joined ComicBook.com for a conversation about the same. During the interview, Levine was asked if there were any updates regarding a sequel to the 2022 Hellraiser.

Spiking up fans’ excitement, Levine replied,

“Yeah. We are trying to do a follow-up and there have been conversations. I can’t exactly say where we’re at in those conversations, but [David] Bruckner is involved in those conversations and we spent a lot of time and energy, I think relaunching that world. A lot of brainpower going into crafting the Cenobite design, figuring out how we’re going to pull them off, and we learned so much.”

Levine further added that if they do end up making a sequel, it’ll be much crazier than Hellraiser.

“And I think moving forward, we love that all that knowledge is sort of banked and that time has been spent. So we think that moving forward and going into another movie is just going to be even crazier and even more awesome. So yeah, that’s something we’re definitely hard at work on, and hope we will have more news soon.”

It looks like if Hellraiser does end up getting greenlit for a sequel, fans should be expecting a much more terrifying film coming their way.

A year after the release of the film, director David Bruckner told ComicBook.com that he was hopeful for a sequel stating, “We’ve been wanting to hear from the audience and I don’t know yet, but I certainly hope there’s a future there, so we will see.”

Even back in 2022, Bruckner seemed rather excited to have been a part of the Hellraiser franchise. In yet another interview with ComicBook.com, the filmmaker gushed on about the film and how he was “truly in awe” of what he and his team had created. In the end, Bruckner admitted that he “would be honored to go back into this world.”

Since Levine has confirmed that Bruckner is a part of the conversations going on behind the scenes about Hellraiser, it seems quite likely that fans will get to hear some good news soon!
