After creating the heartbreaking yet truly magnificent exit of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man from the Marvel Cinematic Universe via Avengers: Endgame, the Russo Brothers — Joe Russo and Anthony Russo — are all set to bring new action to the screens. And this time, this peak entertainment would not be through RDJ or the MCU, but rather, ostensibly through Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.

As it turns out, the dynamic duo recently hinted at wanting to work with Evans and Gosling once again. The project they would be collaborating on is the sequel to the masterpiece from 2022, The Gray Man. But that’s not all because Evans isn’t the only Chris the mastermind filmmakers are looking forward to working with: They also want Chris Hemsworth to reprise his iconic role!

The Gray Man film from 2022 was a real masterpiece, commended by both critics and general audiences alike. But what truly stood out was Chris Evans‘ iconic performance in the never-seen-before role of Lloyd Hansen, the ex-CIA Operator hired to capture Ryan Gosling‘s Sierra Six. And as it seems, fans just may be able to see more of that peak action.

This comes after Joe Russo recently shared insights into the sequel to the 2022 film that was announced shortly after the movie’s release but received little to no follow-up updates afterward. In an interview with GamesRadar+, he explained how he and his brother were still very much working on the project to deliver something as immaculate as the original masterpiece.

According to what Joe shared in the interview about the sequel:

“We’re developing concepts we think are the right direction to take the character in and so, we are working on that at the moment. I mean, you’re juggling like 14 things at the same time so you have to apportion your time correctly to each one of them.”

Seems like, instead of making an iconic return to the MCU as his fan-beloved character of Steve Rogers alongside RDJ‘s Tony Stark, Evans will be returning in one of his best-portrayed roles to date. But he isn’t the only Chris who would seemingly be collaborating once again with the Russo Brothers, considering how they have something planned for Chris Hemsworth as well!

While their return with Evans through The Gray Man sequel seems inevitable, the Russo Brothers are also working on yet another sequel to the fan-favorite Extraction film series. As per the pair’s words, a third installment to the sequel saga is in the works, and Chris Hemsworth will ostensibly be donning his beloved Tyler Rake once more.

Moreover, returning to helm the third film as well will be director Sam Hargrave, who was the genius director behind the second Extraction movie. As per what Joe Russo shared during the same interview:

“Yeah, we’re developing it at the moment, figuring out Chris [Hemsworth]’s schedule. Sam Hargrave is back directing.”

Continuing to talk about the franchise as a whole, Joe also mentioned why this particular film series is so “interesting” to them, saying:

“It’s an interesting franchise because he’s a very emotionally wounded character, so there’s good storytelling there I think in respect to his backstory, and, you know, his relationship to violence is one that’s built around self-loathing and guilt. And so, it adds a lot of texture I think, which allows us to tell more stories about him. “

Well, for all the fans of Joe Russo and Anthony Russo from all across the globe, all of this is nothing short of some exquisitely good news; one that screams only one thing: Peak action and entertainment!

You can stream The Gray Man and Extraction 1 and on Netflix.
