However, almost a decade later, Ryback is willing to make a comeback to the WWE. In a new episode of his podcast, The Ryback Show, the former WWE superstar spoke about the impending change in leadership within the company.

Following the serious allegations against Vince McMahon and his eventual resignation from the company, Ryback has predicted that Triple H, aka Paul Levesque, could be fired from the company in favor of a new leadership. Ryback said:

“Hey, they wipe it clean and there’s new blood in there, hey, why wouldn’t I go back to the organization I made my name in?”

The former Nexus faction member went on record saying that he was willing to speak with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a board member of the TKO Group Holdings, about a potential return. However, Ryback reiterated that for him to make a comeback, the “old blood” must be gone. Ryback also expressed a desire to return to WWE under new leadership in a tweet from February 2024.

Irrespective, Ryback’s return will also depend upon his fitness. Ryback, who left WWE in 2016, hasn’t featured in a professional wrestling match since 2018. After featuring in some independent wrestling promotions, Ryback has remained away from the ring citing health and injury concerns.

However, in the latest episode of his podcast, Ryback provided an update regarding his fitness. Ryback revealed that he was still not 100% fit to wrestle and had not received a clear go-ahead from the doctors to return to the ring. As a result, Ryback’s fitness will likely be a major question over his wrestling career, irrespective of whether the conditions on which he wants to return to the WWE are met or not.
