One Piece is rumored to be going on a hiatus after the next issue’s release on December 10. This means that the release dates of Chapters 1102 and 1103 could be affected. Given that the manga is at an intense point showcasing Bartholomew Kuma’s induction and life as a Warlord of the Sea, the break could be frustrating for a few readers.

One Piece May Go On A Hiatus Following The Release Of Chapter 1101

Eiichiro Oda is renowned for his consistency and delivers a new One Piece chapter every week. The mangaka has been at it for years and his hustle is one of the reasons why OP maintains the top position in the ‘Big 3’ Shonen list. However, Oda seems to be struggling with his schedule lately, even apologizing to fans for not being able to complete the manuscript of Chapter 1098.

Recently, rumors have begun to circulate that One Piece may go on a week-long hiatus after the release of Chapter 1101 on December 10, 2023. Scotch Informer, who regularly brings updates and leaks about One Piece on X, was the first to mention the hiatus. He later claimed that “Chapter 1102 will be the last chapter of the year” in a separate post.

There has been no official confirmation from VIZ Media or Eiichiro Oda. Contrary to popular belief, the supposed hiatus wouldn’t be because of health concerns relating to Oda but rather due to the JUMP FESTA 2024. The upcoming event in Chiba, Japan on December 16 and 17, coincides with the date for Chapter 1102’s release.

This is the reason why Chapter 1102 is now rumored to debut on December 24 on VIZ rather than December 17. Morax on X mentioned in a tweet that the leaks for the chapter will be available four days before the chapter’s release.

The incompletion of Chapter 1098 led to bewilderment. Eiichiro Oda’s health issues weren’t considered to be the reason but the mangaka still has a list of problems due to his work. Previously it was mentioned that Oda had chronic sleep deprivation, leading to complications in his mental and physical health, and was even diabetic.

In the latest news, it was revealed that Oda had been sending his blood pressure to the doctors every day. The mangaka did confirm that it wasn’t a serious problem since not all individuals have an ideal BP. However, fans continue to be concerned over his health.
