Henry Cavill is unarguably one of the hottest, most jaw-dropping physique-possessing celebrities in the entirety of Hollywood’s entertainment industry. Yet, as much of a quarterback-like personality as he looks on the outside, his true choice of interest lies in something completely different; one that even has many labeling him as a “nerd”: His passionate love for gaming.

While he is majorly a gaming freak, one specific gaming universe that enchants him to unparalleled levels of excitement, thrill, and exhilaration is none other than the Warhammer one. And although he doesn’t mind being called a nerd, this very passion of his has even led to Cavill getting trolled by other people, like Jimmy Kimmel, for instance!

Jimmy Kimmel Roasted Henry Cavill Over His Nerdiness for Warhammer

Talk about masculinity, mannerisms, and handsomeness, and the first person to pop into your mind as the perfect quarterback-like absolutely gorgeous gentleman would be none other than Henry Cavill. And yet, the Hollywood hotshot seems like he would gladly trade that title to be called a nerd for Warhammer.

While there have been multiple instances where he openly displayed his geekiness for video games like the famous wargame, this once, the Man of Steel star proved that he could be trolled for something and still continue to show his love for the same. Well, at least that’s what it felt like during his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Talking to the show host, Cavill was brutally roasted about his hobbies related to this specifically favorite game of his as Jimmy Kimmel directly asked him without hesitation a question that must have been bothering him for quite some time now. He asked:

“Are you a nerd? Are you really a nerd?”

As the Argylle star laughed at this question along with the audience, Kimmel shared the reason behind his asking this, saying: “Because I was looking on your Instagram, and you certainly — I know you shouldn’t say somebody looks like a nerd or doesn’t look like a nerd, [but] you don’t look like a nerd.”

Where’s the lie in that? That’s only true, and even Henry Cavill admitted that! But the 56-year-old TV host-cum-comedian was barely done as he continued to roast his 40-year-old guest, saying:

“You look like the opposite of a nerd. You look like the quarterback, or even, you know, the offensive lineman or something like that. You’re a big, handsome, muscular guy, and yet, you have the hobbies of a nerd.”

While those are indeed compliments, yes, in the light of this situation, they didn’t seem so much as that; even more so with that last statement that Kimmel added which had even the Enola Holmes star bursting into a genuine laugh.

But even while getting trolled, what was worth noting was how Cavill was still as passionate while talking to Jimmy Kimmel about the Warhammer universe.

Even as Jimmy Kimmel continued to roast him over his geekiness and for painting miniature figures from the wargame universe during the pandemic (as he shared on his Instagram handle @henrycavill), the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star was still as nerdy as ever while explaining how those figures are actually used.

Then Henry Cavill shared how he initially picked up his passion for this game in the “late ’80s” and then “really got into it in the early ’90s.” While talking about this, he even shared an unbelievable fact about himself that he endured throughout his boarding school tenure: He said he was “already unpopular.” Well, look at him now.

Cavill then totally jumped into his nerd mode while explaining to Kimmel how rolling dice and armies played these miniature figures on the battlefield with other people. That said, at one point, the Justice League star even corrected the host as he said:

“It’s not about the losing. It’s about taking part, Jimmy. (Laughs) It’s about being there.”

In fact, even when Kimmel came up with stuff like how they had to “inhale paint fumes” just because of this passion of theirs, Cavill was more than happy to admit that he was okay with it. Well, for what it’s worth, seems like Henry Cavill most certainly won over all the video game geeks from all across the globe through this interview!
