Marvel Studios, led by Kevin Feige, has been relatively quiet lately. But at CinemaCon 2024, they made a big splash by revealing several minutes of brand-new footage from one of their upcoming big-budget films. Not content to just tease the audience with Deadpool & Wolverine clips, Feige introduced Anthony Mackie to CinemaCon attendees to offer a sneak peek at Captain America: Brave New World.

Subsequently, Mackie, 45, took the stage to unveil the first look at the forthcoming movie directed by Julius Onah. Feige claimed the movie would be more “grounded” than the miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).

New footage from Captain America: Brave New World has been released by Marvel Studios at CinemaCon 2024, offering a preview of Anthony Mackie’s upcoming role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Mackie will take Steve Rogers’ place as Captain America, indicating that he will have a larger role in the MCU than ever after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier concluded.

One of the most important aspects of this footage, as previously mentioned, was President Ross’ wish for Sam Wilson to rebuild the Avengers after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Then, Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) and another agent were set off by a high pitch, which caused them to go into attack mode. Everything went crazy; we saw Isaiah going rogue in the highly anticipated film.

Raising his gun, Isaiah opened fire on the president. The former seems uncontrollably stoic. Many action shots, including one where Sam is holding the Captain America shield while being attacked by people brandishing electric batons. Rewinding the sequence to its beginning, Ross told Sam (via @BrandonDavisBD):

“Just do your job. You’re not Steve Rogers.”

To which Sam replied:

“You’re right. I’m not.”

As the video came to an end, we saw Sam wearing his new Captain America costume and the drone that appeared on his back. For those who do not know, Isaiah Bradley made his last appearance in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
