WrestleMania 40 has been one shocker of an event, to say the least. After the glorious win of the Rock and Roman Reigns yesterday, day two of the highly anticipated WWE event brought even more shocking moments and set some unprecedented records.
Seth Rollins had his stint at WrestleMania come to the most brutal end, and he had to leave injured after several Claymore Kicks by his contender Drew McIntyre. Yet what he said to McIntyre after his defeat is enough to make anyone, including grown-up men, cry their eyes out.
Seth Rollins Loses World Championship Reign to Drew McIntyre
Seth Rollins lost his double stint at WWE’s WrestleMania 40 in the most cathartic way. Despite being a crowd favorite, the Visionary lost his World Championship Reign to Drew McIntyre on the second day of the highly revered wrestling event.
Opening up the event in front of a huge crowd, in the Lincoln Financial Field of Philadelphia, the battle was particularly hard for Rollins. Having just wrestled the Rock and Reigns duo on the opening night just 24 hours prior, he was already beaten down.
And so, despite being a spectacular performer and wrestler, it seemed the stars were just not aligned for Rollins. As the match began, McIntyre rained down his iconic Claymore Kicks on Rollins’ already injured leg.
Despite being injured, Rollins put up a good fight and persisted as much as he could. But it was a last brutal Claymore Kick from The Scottish Warrior that sealed the deal for him. As he left the ring, limping and visibly in tears, Rollins uttered four words to McIntyre that would make anyone shed tears.
“You f**king deserve it.”
Stated Rollins as the new champion, McIntyre sat inside the ring in disbelief. No less than a fairytale ending for the duo, fans appreciated the moment and Rollins’ words.
Fans React to Seth Rollins’ Sweet Words for Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre put one epic fight inside the ring as he battled the Visionary for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Although it would have been hard for him, given the particularly large crowd in the audience rooting for Rollins, The Scottish Warrior’s feat was legendary.
While he did end up losing to Damian Priest just moments after, making his reign end within a record-setting five minutes, fans took to social media to praise Seth Rollins for his kind words.
I wish this gave us a special ending for Drew lol luv this Seth

The more I think about it. He’s probably remembering that Drew initially won a world title in front of no one. Agreed to win it at mania and almost instantly lose it. Seth might have just felt that level of respect for Drew.
