The Democratic Detonation Warbond has landed in Helldivers 2, bringing with it a ton of new explosive firepower to help the galaxy’s freedom fighters push back against the Terminid and Automaton invaders.
However, the Warbond had a bumpy start with the CE-27 Ground Breaker armor’s passive abilities being mixed up. Arrowhead has since fixed the issue, and the Ground Breaker is now living up to its name. Here’s why it’s a nightmare for the Terminids.
Extra Grenades To Blow Up The Bugs In Helldivers 2
Initially, the Ground Breaker came equipped with the underwhelming Servo-Assisted passive. Thankfully, the intended Engineering Kit passive is now active, reducing recoil by 30% when you’re crouching or prone.
This is fantastic news when facing bug hordes, as you can lay down a constant stream of bullets and rockets from cover with incredible precision, melting even the toughest Terminid exoskeletons before they can get close enough to overwhelm you.
The Ground Breaker also lets you carry two extra grenades, an essential for any Helldiver. There’s no problem a grenade can’t solve, and with more of them at your disposal, tactical flexibility and teamwork can see a significant boost.
The Ground Breaker Is Surprisingly Cheap For The Protection It Offers
On top of the Engineering Kit, the Ground Breaker offers more cool features. With a high Armor Rating, the Ground Breaker offers sturdy protection from Terminid bites and acid sprays, keeping you in the fight longer.
Despite its defenses, the Ground Breaker doesn’t compromise your speed at all, allowing for swift mobility on the battlefield. Despite being one of the strongest armors in the game, it’s very affordable, coming in at just 18 medals.
With the extra grenade slots, serious firepower must accompany the armor. The G-16 Impact and High Explosive grenades are both great choices for dealing area damage to Terminid swarms. To take full advantage of the reduced recoil, an assault rifle becomes a great weapon choice.
The CE-27 Ground Breaker armor, now with the initially intended Engineering Kit perk, is a top pick against the Terminid threat. It provides the perfect mix of defense, offense, and strategic flexibility.
So, the next time you find yourselves against a horde of Terminids, consider suiting up in the Ground Breaker. It might just be the difference between victory and becoming another bug snack.
