In mid-2021, Andrew Garfield had two films coming up Tick, Tick… Boom! and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The actor was promoting the former in an interview with Netflix Geeked. The actor expressed how “Cobra Kai became an obsession” and had to put the show on the shelf as season 4 had not come out at that point.

A month later, the actor returned for another interview with Netflix Geeked where the cast of Cobra Kai, including Macchio, Zabka, Mary Mouser, Peyton List, and Jacob Bertrand, sent in a surprise video message for him. The cast talked about how they were thankful to Garfield for loving their show and to look forward to season 4.

Garfield was not expecting this surprise and he was awestruck seeing everyone talking about him. The actor was particularly geeking out seeing Macchio and Zabka and was even left teary-eyed by the end of watching the video. The Spider-Man star stated that he could not handle himself and was overwhelmed. He said,

Come on, Oh My God. No, I can’t handle it. I was like, ‘What are we doing?’ And you do that and you have William Zabka and Ralph Macchio and I am like ‘ Oh no, they know that I exist’. It feels like Christmas in my body. My body feels like Christmas.

Garfield was totally a fan of these people and it is refreshing to see celebrities who we are fans of, geek out at stuff they are obsessed with. It makes them relatable and the actor’s goofy yet adorable reaction to seeing them makes the whole thing worthwhile to watch.

Cobra Kai is coming to an end with season 6 and expectations are high going into it. The season wrapped filming recently and series creator Jon Hurwitz celebrated the occasion with his team at a bar. He posted a photo on X, confirming the end of production, writing-

The season which consists of 15 episodes has been spaced out with regards to its release date into five episodes each premiering on different dates. Hurwitz claims that the season was written according to this specific plan and one should watch the whole thing as 3-mini seasons (in 5 episode chunks).

He warned fans that waiting to binge all 15 episodes later on will not enhance their viewing experience. Hurwitz told What’s On Netflix,

My advice is to stop thinking of Season 6 as one final season and instead view it as 3 distinct mini-seasons. Each batch was written knowing the release plan, so the experience was designed to be enjoyed in 5 episode chunks. Waiting for all 15 episodes to come out will not enhance your viewing experience.

Cobra Kai season 6 will see the return of Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, and Vanessa Rubio.

Part 1 of Cobra Kai Season 6 arrives on Netflix on July 18, 2024, followed by Part 2 on Nov. 24, 2024, and Part 3 sometime in 2025.

Fans can watch the first 5 seasons of Cobra Kai on Netflix.
