According to what Deadline reported, Bailey is “in early talks to star in Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s new Jurassic World movie.” Now that is something truly exciting.
But that isn’t all. Starring alongside him will reportedly be the A-listed heartthrob actress Scarlett Johansson. Moreover, Gareth Edwards is also ostensibly tied to the project as its director, as Deadline reported that he spent “all of last week meeting with execs.” Thus, so far, the casting and crew don’t look that bad.
Adding to this is news that this next installment in the Jurassic saga would be “a completely fresh take on a Jurassic era,” and will not be related to the events in the previous film starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in the lead. Well, that inevitably sounds good, but not as good as the record the Bridgerton actor could set if these reports turn out to be true.
Allow us to explain: If Bailey is indeed the final choice for the lead in this upcoming film, then it would set a major milestone for the Jurassic era, for the Fellow Travelers actor is gay, and no major franchise has previously had any actor from the LGBTQ community lead the saga.
