Keanu Reeves is known for being generous and kind to the cast and crew of his films. Also, he loves his fans. One such cast that also gushed about his good deeds was of John Wick 3, and they have nothing but positive things to share about the beloved actor.
John Wick 3 Cast Share Their Love For Keanu Reeves
During an interview with For The Win, the cast of John Wick 3 was asked about the nicest thing Keanu Reeves had done on set. Ian McShane, who plays Winston, was the first one to say that the main actor brought him tea. The director of the film, Chad Stahelski, complimented Reeves for being on time and generous with everyone. He said:
“He is very generous with his time and ideas. He is one of the most collaborative people I’ve ever worked with. He treats everyone like a professional.”
Mark Dacascos, who plays Zero, said that everything that’s said about Reeves is true. As per the actor:
“He is so kind and humble and collaborative and welcoming, all the good things you hear about Keanu, they are true.”
Lance Reddick, who portrays Charon in the film, mentioned that the actor is gentle and kind. Reddick elaborated:
“One of the first couple of scenes we worked together, I said would you like me to try this or that and he looked at me, he was a bit far away, in a way like he was putting his hand on my shoulder and saying (softly) let us just do this thing, I will figure it out and I remember feeling like wow it was really gentle.”
Asia Kate Dillon, who plays the adjudicator, backed up all the claims and said that the actor isn’t intimidating, even though she often gets asked if he is so. Instead, she said that Reeves is humble, gracious, and kind without any ego. So The Matrix actor is definitely highly regarded by his castmates.
Keanu Reeves Gave Everything Up To Help His Sister
Apart from his co-workers, the actor also has been kind to his family. Most famously in 1991, when Keanu Reeves’ sister, Kim Reeves, was diagnosed with cancer, the actor cleared his schedule and even pushed back the filming of the sequel to The Matrix. In the early 90s, he was a rising film star, but put it all on hold and move closer to his sister so that he could care for her. Reportedly, the star cooked and cleaned her house while also providing her with medication.
In a People magazine interview, Kim Reeves described her brother as “her prince.” Apart from his sister, the beloved actor has also been kind to the crew members of his films. As per Vanity Fair, the actor took the stunt team of John Wick 4 to dinner to praise their efforts and gifted them personalized Rolex watches that each cost $10,000. There are very few actors who are this generous in the film business and on that list, Reeves is undoubtedly at the top.
