Just give him a mic, Dwayne Johnson will make the best use of it, at least for great fun. The Rock, primarily in the attitude era, has used several amazing catchphrases, fuelling his mic skill even more aggressive and fun way. Now, as per recent reports, The Rock trademarked a list of his earlier watchwords.

The new report traced back to a copy of a deal between TKO and the 10-time WWE world champion. The deal suggests that Johnson now owns the IP rights to several taglines, including “Jabroni,” “Candy A*s,” “Roody Poo,” and “Know your role and shut your mouth.”

Interestingly, “Jabroni” did not originate in The Rocks’ tongue as it was first used by Iranian professional wrestler and WWE legend, Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, popularly known as The Iron Sheik.

The Rock has also trademarked “Rocky Maivia,” “The People’s Champion,” “If you smell what The Rock is cooking,” “Know Your Role and Shut Your Mouth,” “The Rock Just Bring It,” “The People’s Elbow,” “Rock Bottom,” “It doesn’t matter what…,” “The most electrifying man in sports and entertainment” and more. Certainly, Johnson is obsessed with his catchphrases as he would not let anyone utter a single word of those iconic phrases.

While “The People’s Champion” is often linked to legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, The Rocked asked his permission to use the phrase. Johnson got the nod, and it has been synonymous with him as well. Now, with the trademark of the iconic tagline “Jabroni,” WWE fans are not very happy about it.

The Iron Sheik’s “Jabroni” worked wonders for his heated heal phase as the former  WWF World Heavyweight champion went on to several iconic battles in the 1980s against Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund and Sgt. Slaughter. The Rock’s recent WWE heal phase after joining The Bloodline makes sense for the company, and he would certainly use those taglines to add to his mic skills with engrossing rage. Johnson also owns his logos, service marks, all other nicknames, caricatures, voice, signature, gestures, routines, costumes, accessories, and more.
