As it seems, Mangaka Gege Akutami is seemingly still raging high on their killing spree in 'Jujutsu Kaisen'.

Fans Will Hate Gege Akutami Even More: Jujutsu Kaisen Hints Another Major Death

SUMMARY

  • Chapter #251 of 'Jujutsu Kaisen' saw Ryomen Sukuna landing the 'World Cutting Slash' on Yuta Okkotsu.
  • Since world's strongest sorcerer Satoru Gojo died through this same attack, there is a high chance that Okkotsu just may end up dead as well.
  • However, Okkotsu might save himself through the 'Reverse Cursed Energy' technique, though even that has some conditions to it.

Gege Akutami may have been the creator of one of the most successful manga storylines of all time, but they have broken equally uncountable hearts through the same.

In fact, as much as fans love Akutami for the exceptional plotlines they develop, especially in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, they can’t help but hate them at the same time for all their favorite beloved characters they eliminate without hesitating.

Well, this “hate” for Gege Akutami just might increase in the near future as yet another death of a major character gets hinted at in the Jujutsu Kaisen world — one that fans might not be all too appreciative of.

While the Jujutsu Kaisen manga started on a highly interesting note and appealing note, its updates as of late are far from that. Well, for what it’s worth, it is still keeping fans engaged, but only while dreading to the core about what could happen to their beloved characters.

This comes even truer considering how Mangaka Gege Akutami is currently raging high on a killing spree and has already eliminated multiple major characters from the series. But this most recent blow that Akutami landed in chapter #251 of the manga just might hit fans a bit harder.

As has been hinted through the recently released Vol. 25 chapter Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown, Part 23, the one who would apparently be facing his end at the hands of Ryomen Sukuna is none other than the late Satoru Gojo’s strongest successor, Yuta Okkotsu.

Even though as of late, Yuta Okkotsu, who is inevitably the current strongest sorcerer in the series, was seemingly gaining the upper hand during his battle with Sukuna, especially when he duplicated the King of Curses’ Cleave technique, Sukuna’s latest blow just might put an end to the beloved hero.

At the end of chapter #251, Ryomen Sukuna puts to use his World Cutting Slash ability on Yuta Okkotsu; the same technique he used to slay the fan-favorite Satoru Gojo and the very technique that “Sukuna, under normal circumstances, could have instinctively avoided…”.

This attack is so deadly that it can “cut the world,” in the words of Sukuna. This was visible in chapter #236 as well when Sukuna sliced the strongest sorcerer in half through the same despite his Limitless protective barrier, killing Satoru Gojo.

As the end of chapter #251 reads: “A surprise attack on the individual assured of their own victory. Pierced by the blade of a monster with no cursed energy!!” This inevitably means that just like his master, Okkotsu too just might face his end at the hands of Sukuna.

Though this would clearly not be appreciated by fans who have been going sick with worry about their favorite characters, it ostensibly aligns with Gege Akutami‘s comment about killing all the major characters but one. Yet, all hope is not lost. At least, not yet.

Yuta Okkotsu may Save Himself Through his Reverse Cursed Energy Technique

Although the circumstances highly point to the death of Yuta Okkotsu, the male protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, at the hands of the Gege Akutami-created King of Curses as well, there is still a chance for survival for Yuta.

By making use of his Reverse Cursed Energy technique, Satoru Gojo’s strongest successor just may be able to bounce back, even from a deadly attack like the World Cutting Slash attack from Ryomen Sukuna.

While it is true that this attack indeed killed Gojo as well, who was undoubtedly the strongest sorcerer in the entire Jujutsu Kaisen series, the Reverse Cursed Energy technique still leaves some space for Okkotsu to heal his wound and survive.

However, even this technique will prove to be useless if he has actually been sliced in half the same way as Gojo was because the Reverse Cursed Energy flows from the brain and down into the body, and it wouldn’t help him heal in this case.

Thus, as of now, there are chances of survival as well as chances of completely losing the fan-favorite character — something that would inevitably result in fans showering Jujutsu Kaisen Mangaka Gege Akutami with all the hate in the world.

Nonetheless, the question of whether Yuta Okkotsu actually survives in Jujutsu Kaisen or not can only be answered with the release of the next chapter, i.e. Chapter #252. You can keep up with the same by reading the manga on Shueisha’s MangaPlus.
