And March 2024 promises an unforgettable journey through diverse and exciting movies and shows that are set to captivate audiences around the globe.
Spaceman
Based on Jaroslav Kalfař’s novel Spaceman of Bohemia, the upcoming film Spaceman follows an astronaut’s journey to the outer reaches of the galaxy, where he encounters a mysterious creature that helps him navigate his earthly troubles. The sci-fi drama is directed by the Swedish filmmaker Johan Renck and features Adam Sandler and Paul Dano alongside Oscar-nominated actress Carey Mulligan and The Big Bang Theory star Kunal Nayyar. Spaceman will be released on Netflix on March 1, 2024, following its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival.
Dune: Part Two
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the highly anticipated sci-fi sequel faced significant delays due to the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Following Paul Atreides on a quest for revenge against those who destroyed his family, Dune: Part Two was initially set for a release in October 2023. The movie was initially set to release in February 2024 but was delayed to March 8, 2024, due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Damsel
Starring Millie Bobby Brown, Damsel is a dark fantasy film that revolves around a young woman, who agrees to marry a prince, only to discover that she is being used as a sacrificial pawn to settle an age-old debt. In addition to the Stranger Things star, the highly anticipated film also stars Angela Bassett, Robin Wright, Ray Winstone, and Nick Robinson. Initially set to release on October 13, 2023, Damsel will premiere on Netflix on March 8, 2024.

Created by Game of Thrones‘ David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, 3 Body Problem is adapted from the acclaimed novel of the same name. The sci-fi TV series stars Benedict Wong, Jess Hong, and Marlo Kelly, along with the Game of Thrones actors John Bradley and Liam Cummingham. The show follows Ye Wenjie, an astrophysicist, as her consequential decision echoes through time and compels present-day scientists to confront a looming threat to humanity. 3 Body Problem is set to premiere on Netflix on March 21, 2024.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
Following the successful revival of the franchise with Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the Spengler family is set to join forces with the original Ghostbusters in its sequel, Frozen Empire. Directed by Gil Kenan, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire follows the new and old Ghostbusters team working together to save the day after the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes a bizarre and evil force, Death Chill. Along with Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd, the movie is also bringing back Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton. Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire
After Godzilla vs. Kong, filmmaker Adam Wingard is continuing the MonsterVerse saga with the next installment, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. While the 2021 film featured them against each other, the upcoming sequel follows the two Titans teaming up to face off against a hidden threat to their existence and the survival of humanity. Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry are reprising their roles from the 2021 film alongside Dan Stevens and Alex Ferns in the highly anticipated sequel, which is set to release on March 29, 2024.
The Thundermans Return
The Thundermans Return is the continuation of the popular Nickelodeon comedy show that aired from 2015 to 2018. Centered around a superhero family, the series primarily followed twins Phoebe Thunderman and Max Thunderman as they navigated their daily lives while keeping their identities a secret. Kira Kosarin and Jack Griffo, who starred in the original series, are reprising their roles. The film explores The Thundermans’ return to Hiddenville after three years of fighting crime in their new city, Metroburg.
