Arrowhead has been keeping an eye on what players are up to in Helldivers 2, so it goes without saying that sometimes, although an objective may seem clear and easy to accomplish, there is an element thrown in to make things more challenging for Super Earth’s soldiers.

Gamemaster Joel has already earned a notorious reputation for creating difficult hurdles in gamers’ paths, and his latest move carries on the tradition in all its glory. Although his countless contributions keep Helldivers 2 alive and thriving, the player base now has to deal with a frustrating new aspect that is stopping it from destroying a major threat to democracy.

Helldivers 2 Players Can’t Just Go and Destroy the Gunship Facilities Any Longer

Destroying the Automaton Gunship Facilities in Helldivers 2 was not easy, but it has become much harder now.

The Gunship Facilities in Helldivers 2 are basically factories that the Automaton army uses to create, as the name suggests, Gunships, but even before the latest intervention by Gamemaster Joel, it was actually quite tough to destroy them.

That is because they can’t be targeted from far away, and players have to try and get extremely close to them in the hopes of hitting these Facilities with a Hellbomb. Of course, nothing is ever easy for the Helldivers 2 community, as Joel has now apparently added stratagem jammers into the mix, making it much harder to target these factories.

Calling it “a new form of hell,” a Helldivers 2 player on the game’s subreddit pointed out that while heading towards a Gunship Facility to absolutely what devour it with a Hellbomb, they encountered “a stratagem jammer right next to” it.

The defensive effort that these soldiers have been putting in is in peril again because, while the players are unable to directly attack the Facility, it is still developing more Gunships, making it extremely easy for the Automatons to unleash their wrath on the gamers.

The Only Way to Hit the Facility Is by Destroying the Stratagem Jammers First

The Gunship Facilities will have to wait until the Helldivers 2 players deal with the stratagem jammers.

With this new hurdle introduced by Gamemaster Joel in Helldivers 2, he has ensured that the stratagem jammer takes its job very seriously and does exactly what it promises to do with its name.

Since the NUX-223 Hellbomb needed to destroy the Gunship Facilities is basically a stratagem, the latest Automaton weapon jams it, resulting in players being unable to use it until they figure out what to do with the jammer first.

This may not be much of a problem for those Helldivers 2 players who like to play at lower difficulty levels since Joel has seemingly taken it easy on them, but for those soldiers who have been challenging themselves at higher difficulties like Suicide, things are going to get tougher.

Have you encountered these new stratagem jammers in Helldivers 2 yet? Let us know in the comments!
