Lukas Gage wants to express his most sincere apology to Shania Twain after his marriage crumbled in just a few months. The singer serenaded Gage and ex-husband Chris Appleton during their wedding last year.
The former couple tied the knot in April 2023, and in November of the same year, the famed celebrity stylist filed for divorce from the actor, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for separation.
Lukas Gage Apologizes To Shania Twain Following His Failed Marriage
During his guest appearance on Watch What Happens Live with host Andy Cohen, Lukas Gage talked about his brief marriage with Chris Appleton and how he regrets inviting the country-pop singer to his wedding.
“I want to apologize to Shania Twain for wasting her time. I mean, ‘We’re still holding on, you’re still the one’ after, like, three weeks? That was unhinged. That was like the biggest waste of her time. But, I love you, Shania. I’m really sorry about that.”
He also apologized to Kim Kardashian who officiated their wedding. Gage further explained that he suffered during the months of his married life, though he did not reveal any particular examples.
“I had a manic episode for six months. Literally, I don’t know what went through my head. I don’t know what happened. That’s kind of how I roll. I’m a little impulsive. You know me. But that was probably one of the most unhinged things I’ve ever done in my life… and I’ll probably have six other marriages.”
The Road House star, who plays Billy in the Jake Gyllenhaal movie, admitted that his sudden marriage to Appleton was the craziest thing he ever did, but nothing was more insane than wearing matching fur coats on his wedding day.
Gage And Appleton Are Slowly Moving On
While attending the SXSW, Gage spoke to People and shared how he is coping with his divorce from Appleton.
“It’s been great. It’s been a year of learning, growing, changing — yeah, just constant change. Life’s always changing. Everything’s great. Yeah, it’s been really good.”
Meanwhile, a source close to the celebrity hairstylist revealed via US Weekly that he is not dwelling on his separation from the actor. In fact, he has already moved on.
“Chris has moved on and — unlike Lukas — doesn’t want to keep talking about it. He has exciting projects coming up and is looking forward to the future. Chris wants to wrap up the divorce soon.”
Another source shared with the outlet that Appleton is reportedly going out with Federico Debernardi, a successful art dealer. They are still a fresh pairing, though the insider noted that the former is “extremely happy with where he is at right now.”
Gage and Appleton’s marriage may have only lasted for six months, but the former clarified that there are no issues of infidelity or third party. The actor refused to give any more details as he admitted having signed a non-disclosure agreement.
