After the huge success of the Infinity Saga, the MCU set up Jonathan Majors’ Kang as the next big bad after Thanos. After teasing him up in an interesting way in Loki season 1, Majors made his big screen debut as Kang in Ant-Man 3. However, the character did not make much of an impact on audiences.

Avengers 5: Fans Are Worried That MCU is Moving on From Recasting Kang After Jonathan Majors’ Firing
The firing of Majors from the role added to people’s speculations that the studio would be dropping Kang as a whole and substituting him with another big villain. Many rumors have been floated around as to who would replace him. However, according to a new report, Marvel Studios is still planning to keep Kang as the main villain for the upcoming two Avengers films.
The Hollywood Handle posted on X that the studio is still keen on having the villain as the major threat of their epic crossover event films of the Multiverse Saga. It further wrote that the studio wants to add another villain to the mix, maybe as Kang’s right-hand man to help execute his sinister plans. This is rather surprising considering the events that were mentioned before.
If the studio is continuing with Kang, another actor other than Majors has to take up the role. Till now, there has been no information about Kang appearing in any of the announced MCU projects. For now, people should take this information with a grain of salt and wait for an official announcement regarding the same.
