Placing him in an Ant-Man film and getting defeated by him put off audiences in a big way. The character suffered another blow with the firing of Majors from the role. While audiences expected that Kang wouldn’t return, Marvel Studios might be planning something big with the character for the upcoming two Avengers films.

After Ant-Man 3‘s failure, Marvel Studios seems to be planning to bring back Kang in a big way

Jonathan Majors‘ Kang did not live up to fans’ expectations when he debuted in Ant-Man 3. While Majors put his all into the role, the characterization and the fact that the big bad villain of the Multiverse saga got defeated by Ant-Man in his first appearance itself disappointed fans big time. The studio started realizing that the villain was not working in the way that they hoped.

The firing of Majors from the role added to people’s speculations that the studio would be dropping Kang as a whole and substituting him with another big villain. Many rumors have been floated around as to who would replace him. However, according to a new report, Marvel Studios is still planning to keep Kang as the main villain for the upcoming two Avengers films.

The Hollywood Handle posted on X that the studio is still keen on having the villain as the major threat of their epic crossover event films of the Multiverse Saga. It further wrote that the studio wants to add another villain to the mix, maybe as Kang’s right-hand man to help execute his sinister plans. This is rather surprising considering the events that were mentioned before.

If the studio is continuing with Kang, another actor other than Majors has to take up the role. Till now, there has been no information about Kang appearing in any of the announced MCU projects. For now, people should take this information with a grain of salt and wait for an official announcement regarding the same.

Henry Cavill Reportedly Playing a Wolverine Variant in Deadpool 3

Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to have some interesting cameos
Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to have some interesting cameos

Among the many actors who fans want to see in the MCU, Henry Cavill’s name has always been at the top of the list. The actor has been rumored over the past few years to be joining the MCU. Recently, those rumors started getting intensified as many popular scoopers started posting that Cavill has indeed joined the MCU.

Now, another scooper has reportedly revealed what he will be playing in the MCU. According to CanWeGetSomeToast (on X), Cavill will be playing a Wolverine variant in Deadpool & Wolverine. While this may be exciting for some fans, neither the actor nor the studio has confirmed this rumor.

Cavill joining the MCU is an exciting prospect, but if the rumor is true, it will be kind of a waste to see Cavill only be used as a variant rather than a full-fledged character. It remains to be seen whether this rumor turns out to be true or if he joins the MCU with a leading big-name character.
