We finally have the Skull and Bones Early Access dates and times for a global release, and pirates around the world are going to be very happy. The open-world seafaring game was announced back in 2017’s E3 and is now finally slated for a proper launch, almost 7 years later.

It’s been a long and challenging journey for the game since its announcement, but it appears Ubisoft is ready to have its title set full sail on the high seas. Early Access for Skull and Bones will be global, but only a select few players will be able to enjoy this feature.

The Skull and Bones Early Access Timings Are Not the Same for All Players

The Skull and Bones Early Access will begin on Tuesday for Premium Edition players
The Skull and Bones Early Access will begin on Tuesday for Premium Edition players.

This information comes directly from the Skull and Bones page on X. Only the players who have purchased the Skull and Bones Premium Edition will be able to enjoy Early Access. People who have opted for the Standard Edition will have to wait an extra three days for the standard global launch before they can enjoy Skull and Bones. This is standard for a lot of games now and becomes a factor to consider for ardent fans who don’t want to wait any longer to access the game.

Players will also be pleased to know Ubisoft is including a very important and sought-after feature in the Early Access: progress crossover. That’s right, if you’ve ever wondered, “Does Skull and Bones beta progress crossover into the full game?” then the answer is a resounding “Yes!”. This is a great move from Ubisoft, as it means players won’t have to work through all the early-game content and can resume their adventure wherever they reach in the beta version.

In addition to the Skull and Bones Early Access, Ubisoft will also allow players to pre-load the game so they can enjoy it as soon as it is available to them. Below are the dates for the pre-load, the beginning of Early Access, and the full game launch. Along with enjoying Early Access, Premium Edition players will also get the bonus cosmetic pack, the ‘Ballad of Bones Collection’, a digital artbook, and a Smuggler Pass Token.

Here Are the Dates for the Skull and Bones Early Access, Pre-Load, and Full Game launch

  • PC: Monday, 12 February (5 a.m. – EST | 11 a.m. – CET | 9 p.m. – AET)
  • PS5/Xbox X|S: Sunday, 11 February (12 a.m. – EST | 12 a.m. – CET | 12 a.m. – AET)

Early Access: Tuesday, 13 February 12 a.m. – EST | CET | AET

Launch: Friday, 16 February 12 a.m. – EST | CET | AET

While Standard Edition players will have to wait an extra three days, it shouldn’t be that big of an issue given that the game has taken so long to hit the shelves. Premium Edition players are going to have a headstart, and with crossover available, they will probably hit the endgame content much sooner. Standard players would do well to avoid subreddits, and X to keep away from spoilers.

From understanding the complexities of a multilayer narrative to the simply joy of "big gun go boom", my goal is to capture all the emotions in between and put them down in an engaging manner.
