Elden Ring has many different elements that make the game desirable to play through. One such feature is how your decisions throughout the game can affect which of the 6 different available endings you get, with each one being different from the previous one.
Another interesting aspect of these endings in particular is how they are allegedly prequels to other FromSoftware titles, which can stand true as they are all directed by the same person, Hidetaka Miyazaki. While some of the hints given in the game might seem absurd, two particular endings indicate how they are most likely to be a prequel to Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne.
How These Two Elden Ring Endings Are Most Likely A Prequel To Dark Souls 3 And Bloodborne
Ever since the release of the game back in February 2022, it has been speculated how the endings are supposed to be a canonical prequel to some of the other FromSoftware titles. Fans have also figured out how the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending and the Age of Stars ending in particular are somehow linked to Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne respectively.
The player has to go through a lot of difficulties to unlock the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending, leading the world to be engulfed in flame and chaos as a conclusion. However, players have now started to realize how the flame that is last seen after the ending resembles the first flame seen in Dark Souls. This theory is further given credit by the fact that The Lands Between gets covered in ashes, which follows a similar setting from the past title.
In a similar manner, fans have also pointed out how the Age of Stars ending in Elden Ring, unlocked by completing Ranni’s quest line is a canonical prequel to Bloodborne. Fans believe that this is true as the moon is shown to be of significant importance in both Bloodborne and in the Age of Stars ending.
Will We Get To See A 7th Secret Ending In The Upcoming Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC?
Ever since the announcement of the upcoming extension for the game back in February 2023, fans around the world have speculated how the coming DLC will bring a new ending for the game. One of these theories states how we will get to see an ending called the Age of Slumber considering the importance of Miquella in the storyline of Shadow of the Erdtree.
Unfortunately, this seems unlikely now as Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of the game has revealed in a recent interview how the contents of the DLC will stay exclusive to itself, and will not affect the main storyline of the game.
Our tarnished character is allegedly set to travel back in time to a place called the Land of Shadow as revealed in the recent gameplay trailer. While not a new ending, the player will still get to witness new enemies, weapons, and items featured in the coming DLC, making many wait patiently for its release on 21st June 2024.
