In Helldivers 2, stakes are always high as players continue to fight various enemies in an ongoing galactic war. The players are tasked with liberating and defending various locations across the galaxy. Each of these locations has its own risks and difficulties. As they complete numerous scenarios and challenges in order to rid the galaxy of enemy forces, sometimes they find it much harder than anticipated.

One such scenario was Malevelon Creek; it came as a storm for players. Then it left them in the dirt of defeat. Now weeks after that disaster, players have been recovering well enough. However, recently, another challenge has presented itself, and players are already comparing it to Helldivers 2’s Malevelon Creek.

In the lore of Helldivers 2, Malevelon Creek was seen as a disastrous loss due to the poor strategic decisions of the Helldivers as well as the overwhelming enemy forces. It showed everyone what can go wrong when coordination amongst the Helldivers is at a loss.

Some even blame that disaster on everyone’s underestimation of the enemy’s power. While there were also a bunch of unforeseen things that happened, it was mostly blamed on a lack of cooperation and strategy.

But, despite the setbacks, players were able to liberate Malevelon Creek eventually. It was a major victory for them, who were previously demotivated by this extensive loss. This is where Helldivers 2’s dynamism comes into play; fans must keep in mind that one loss does not mean the end of the road.

Now, another location called Varylia 5 has become the main focus for this game’s community. The complications Helldivers are facing at this location have led to unfavorable comparisons with Malevelon Creek.

Currently, tense battles are taking place on Varylia 5. Helldivers are making every effort to defend and liberate this location from enemy control. There are still a bunch of things that can alter the fate of Varylia 5.

Things like player coordination, strategy, and intervention from Helldivers 2’s game master, Joel, would play a great role in what would be the result of this war. One knows well enough that if Joel decides, players could end up losing this war in seconds.

While there are a number of factors that are scaring Helldivers 2 players at the moment, this war can go in any direction. Varylia 5 is not a sure-shot deal as of yet; it can end up being a Malevelon Creek-like disaster or it can be another victory for gamers.

This just goes to represent what kind of experience Arrowhead Game Studios has crafted with Helldivers 2. They have given them a dynamic, interactive world that is unpredictable and can change in seconds.

Much to look forward to for Helldivers 2 fans

While they deal with the threat to Varylia 5, Helldivers 2 fans still have a bunch of stuff to look forward to. Arrowhead Studios has indicated a bunch of times that even though they do not have a set roadmap of content coming to it, they are still dedicated to introducing new features and updates to it.

The best part is that fans can expect most or almost all of these updates to be released for free. This means this game would continue to get numerous enhancements at no extra cost. This is very rare to see in developers nowadays: a commitment to maintain the longevity of their game.
