But that isn’t all: The Marie Antoinette actress is also willing to return to the superhero genre! Well, at least that’s what she expressed when asked about her thoughts on returning to superhero films in a recent interview with Marie Claire.
“Yes,” Dunst said with refreshing honesty, “because you get paid a lot of money, and I have two children, and I support my mother.”
As happy as Dunst’s response would make the fans feel amid all the rumors of ‘Sam Raimi‘s unfinished Spider-Man 4 getting back in business’ floating around, it is also noteworthy just how honest of a response the actress had.
Spider-Man 4 Rumors: Is Sam Raimi actually working on it?
Ever since Tobey Maguire reprised his fan-favorite superhero role in Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man: No Way Home, rumors have it that Sam Raimi’s unfinished business with the fourth film in Maguire’s web-slinger film series might be in the works to finally be completed.
While this situation has been on and off for quite some time with no official confirmation, Thomas Haden Church, who was also the one who led to such massive rumors before, has once again popped up to add sparks to those rumors.
During a recent interview with ComicBook.com, the Sandman portrayer expressed how there have been “some rumors that they might ask me to do another Spiderman, and I’d do it tomorrow,” before adding:
“But, you know, I think Sam is gonna do another Spiderman with Tobey [Maguire], and that’s the one that … They had an option for me to do Spiderman 4 when there was going to be a Spiderman 4. They had an option on me to come back. So if it happens, that would be fantastic. I’m getting a little old.”
Well, for what it’s worth, if all these rumors are true, we’re genuinely hoping Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane alongside Tobey Maguire in Raimi’s Spider-Man 4!
