Dune franchise lead Timothée Chalamet claimed that he created the design of the weird-looking popcorn bucket first presented on an episode of SNL with the viral song Dune Popcorn Bucket. Arguably, it also caught the attention of Ryan Reynolds.
Reynolds broke the silence on the Dune 2 popcorn bucket. Of course, it would not be strange for the actor to use one but not before making fun of it. After the release of the Deadpool 3 trailer, Reynolds took X to make fun of the viral bucket. “Wait till you see the Deadpool popcorn bucket,” he wrote on the platform.
Can you imagine the Deadpool popcorn bucket? If Deadpool 3 pulls off an immaculate popcorn bucket after Dune 2, it could be a trend for future mainline movies. Reynolds teased the Deadpool popcorn bucket with a poster for the upcoming movie, showing two necklaces shaped like a broken heart representing Deadpool and Wolverine. On Deadpool’s side, the word “Best” was engraved with “Friends” on Wolverine’s side.

Why should Reynolds have all the fun? Hugh Jackman and Renolds have been good friends for years, but the actors give each other hard times, most of which were reflected on the internet. Now, as Renolds was busy mocking the Sandworm popcorn bucket, Jackman continued his streak of making fun of Deadpool.
“Definitely not an origin story,” Jackman posted on X sharing the trailer of Deadpool 3 while hinting at his subtle joke on Reynold’s movie despite riding with him in the upcoming MCU movie. In another post, he altered the title card, changing it from Deadpool & Wolverine to Wolverine & A*shole captioning “Fixed it.”
Following the release of the Deadpool 3 trailer, the internet has gone wild, and several hashtags orbiting the movie are trending, including DeadpoolAndWolverine alongside Deadpool calling himself Marvel Jesus, and the easter eggs for Secret Wars. The Shawn Levy-directed Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to hit the theaters on 26 July 2024.
