After its initial announcement at E3 2015, details on the game’s development had grown to be scarce until last month when Square Enix provided some gameplay footage during a State of Play event hosted by Sony. With this new trailer, it is evident that the Japanese developer is doing its utmost to get fans riled up ahead of their press conference tonight at 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
More importantly though it is likely that Square Enix wants to make sure that Final Fintasy VII Remake‘s promotion at E3 feel like a separate event since it is going to have to compete with Marvel’s The Avengers, another centerpiece for the company’s E3 presser. After all, The Avengers is going to receive double the attention at the expo this year with a reveal during Square’s press conference and then a showcase hosted by Game Awards host Geoff Keighley at the E3 Colosseum on June 11th.
Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available on the Playstation 4 on March 3rd, 2020.
