WandaVision has had a massive 3 weeks on Disney+. We’ve seen so little till now, and yet we’ve loved every bit of the series. Beginning Phase 4 with this unique sitcom-inspired series initially seemed like a big risk. But Marvel Studios is just too big to fail with anything they launch. People had been craving for exclusive MCU content for over 18 months, so any new project would have had a massive reception. But, WandaVision has proven to be the perfect project to begin Phase 4 because of its numerous setups. It has really opened the future of the MCU wide open. Here’s every upcoming MCU project that WandaVision might, or will definitely set up:

Homecoming 3 (Definitely)

MCU’s Spider-Man 3 has a lot of Multiverse characters involved in the film. And it is confirmed that WandaVision will lead into the project. Wanda has created a pocket reality within an existing town on Earth. So, this little “universe” of hers could have some serious implications on the Multiverse.

Things are contained within Westview for now. But if Wanda loses control over her Hex Magic, then it might lead to several universes and dimensions colliding with each other. That could further be used to bring different Spider-Men and villains like Electro, Doc Ock, and others into the MCU. I could be wrong about the schematics of how things might work. But WandaVision will have a definite connection with Homecoming 3.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Possibly)

WandaVision has introduced SWORD into the MCU. This organization doesn’t just observe, but also possibly creates “Sentient Weapons.” So, they could have some sort of a role to play in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where the Super Soldier program will be thoroughly explored. And besides, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier directly follows WandaVision in MCU’s chronological release order. So, it’s highly likely that WandaVision’s ending might tease the Sam and Bucky series through a post-credits scene or a special cameo at the end.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Definitely)

Right when Doctor Strange 2 was announced, Kevin Feige revealed that Scarlet Witch will be involved in the project. And now that her reality-altering powers might go haywire, we understand how WandaVision might lead into Doctor Strange 2. Scarlet Witch could either go out of control and be the villain of the Doctor Strange movie. Or she could help Strange sort the madness in the multiverse that she might cause during her own series.

Loki (Possibly)

We’ve seen several references to Mephisto in WandaVision already. Marvel hasn’t confirmed it yet, but we’re sure that he will be the big villain of WandaVision. And, we also spotted a Mephisto Easter Egg in the Loki trailer. So, could the devil have something to do with the Time Variance Authority in Loki? I guess only time will tell!

Secret Invasion (Definitely)

SWORD has a major role to play in WandaVision, and they’ll continue to do so in the Secret Invasion series as well. It’s clear that they monitor terrestrial and extra-terrestrial threats. And, WandaVision has proven that SWORD is also aware of Skrulls’ existence. So, the Space Station we saw at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home has to be a SWORD base. It might be named “The Peak” just like in comics. And since Nick Fury, Talos, and the other Skrulls are supposed to appear in Secret Invasion, WandaVision is clearly setting up the show. And besides, my theory is that SWORD’s Acting Director, Tyler Hayward is a Skrull! So, that would be yet another set up for Secret Invasion if it comes true.

Thor: Love and Thunder (Possibly)

Darcy Lewis seems to be playing a sizable role in WandaVision. But since she is a Thor franchise character, there’s a chance that we could see her return in Love and Thunder. And her role in the film could be set up by WandaVision. But she hasn’t joined the cast in Sydney, where the production of Thor 4 is going on. Kat Dennings was recently asked about her Thor 4 appearance by IGN, and she said:

“Well, I have not gotten a call so I kind of doubt it since they’re shooting it right now so probably not, but anything Marvel ever asks of me the answer’s always yes.”

So, there’s a chance that she may not return in the next Thor movie (unless she is supposed to fly to Sydney in the coming months). Even if she doesn’t return, SWORD still monitors Earth-based and Cosmic threats. So, they could still come into play.

Captain Marvel 2 (Definitely)

Monica Rambeau is playing a crucial role in WandaVision. She will possibly get her comic accurate powers within this series. Beyond that, Kevin Feige has confirmed that Captain Rambeau will meet Captain Marvel in her second movie. Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Spectrum are to form an alliance in Captain Marvel 2. And WandaVision writer, Megan McDonnell is also writing the Captain Marvel sequel. So, it’s needless to say that WandaVision is setting up Carol’s next big outing.

Black Panther 2 (Possibly)

Last year, WandaVision was filmed in a small town in Georgia. Charles Murphy of Murphy’s Multiverse reported that this town could be doubling for Doomstadt or Latveria. We’ve already reported that Doctor Doom will be arriving in the next Black Panther movie. So if Latveria makes its debut in WandaVision, then it’d technically be a set up for Black Panther 2.

Young Avengers (Definitely)

With the birth of Tommy and Billy, WandaVision has already begun with the set-up of the eventual Young Avengers project. It hasn’t been officially announced yet, but we know that Young Avengers is happening because almost every upcoming Phase 4 project will contribute to it. As for WandaVision’s contribution, it won’t just add Billy and Tommy to the youth team. But it will also bring in Hulkling. Actor Isaiah Knott has reportedly been cast for the part.

Fantastic Four (Possibly)

Besides the Doctor Doom link, WandaVision might have a direct to Fantastic Four link through SWORD. Captain Rambeau talked about the “Astronaut training program.” Acting Director Tyler Hayward replied that half of the program’s personnel was blipped, and the other half had lost their nerve. So, if SWORD has been sending Astronauts on space missions, could this link to the origins of the Fantastic Four? It would make total sense, don’t you think?

X-Men (Definitely)

Kevin Feige confirmed that an X-Men project has been discussed over at Marvel Studios. He also confirmed that WandaVision will plant the seeds for the arrival of mutants. Considering that Wanda and Pietro have the X-Gene, and Evan Peters’ Quicksilver might be coming into play, we’d say that there’s definitely a set up for the eventual X-Men project. There’s also a possibility of Magneto’s arrival in the show. But, let’s wait for confirmation.

Looking at all these seeds that WandaVision seems to be sowing, we can say that the MCU is going to be even more interconnected from Phase 4 onwards. And, that can be a really good thing if Marvel continues to lure people into watching every one of their upcoming properties.
